As Alberta gets ‘ready to roll’ (from their own press release – pun absolutely intended) with its plans for the implementation of the federal legalization of cannabis on October 17th, the AGLC has announced the federally licensed producers (LPs) were selected from 31 applications received to supply them. They are:
|7 Acres/The Supreme Cannabis Company||Maricann Group Inc.|
|ABCann Global||MedReleaf Corp.|
|Aurora||Starseed Medicinal Inc.|
|CannTrust||UP Cannabis Inc.|
|Canopy Growth||Weed MD|
Cannabis purchased by consumers directly from the AGLC at albertacannabis.org will be delivered by Canada Post and Purolator. But Alberta recreational users are warned – the Rocky Mountain High has to come from the AGLC -even online. The AGLC is claiming dominance over the airwaves for Alberta residents. Online cannabis sales from any other site, and that would presumably mean operating in the province or out-of-province, will be illegal.
